Recommendations of SIRC:
1) Motion: To increase premiums by 1% with further discussion at the County Commission Board meeting was made by Ken Cornell, County Commissioner, and seconded by Shaney Livingston, Library District Director. Motion carried 8/1 with Power in dissent. This will be shared by the employer and employee at the same ratio as FY20.
2) Motion to accept staff recommendation for continuing Peerfit and funding out of reserves for approximately $200,000 in FY21 was made by Commissioner Cornell and seconded by Sheriff Darnell. Motion passed unanimously.
3) Motion to accept staff’s recommendation to increase incentive to $480 per year was made by Commissioner Cornell and seconded by Ed Crapo, Property Appraiser. Motion passed unanimously.

Fiscal Consideration:
Fiscal Consideration
The additional $300,000 in premium revenue for the health fund will be shared ~$50,000 by employees and ~$250,000 by employer contributions. The Peerfit wellness program has an estimated cost of $200,000. The increased wellness incentive is estimated to cost $36,000. The health fund is fiscally sound and will remain so under these recommendations. End
