Background:
In accordance with Ordinance 18-07, the Arts Council of Alachua County reviewed the seven submittals and narrowed them to three. The group unanimously approved the following ranking and Dr. Cindy Sanders would request either Fabio Pizzol or Janine Ody be selected:
1. Fabio Pizzol
2. Cooper O’Neil (tied)
3. Janine Ody (tied)
The Board is being requested to review the submittals and select an artist for the Stained Glass Art for UF/IFAS Extension - Alachua County’s new Auditorium Building, expected to commence construction in October 2020. This art will be installed when the building’s windows are installed so it is crucial that the artist and architect work closely to ensure correct dimensions and time the installation. The installation includes lighting so the stained glass can be viewed after sunset.
