Fiscal Consideration
Each entity is responsible for 50% of the costs associated with the hub equipment that gets our signal to channel 12. This expense fluctuates yearly but it is not typically high-priced items and the annual Communications budget has routinely been able to cover these costs.

Background:
For over two decades, the County has shared Channel 12 with the City of Gainesville. The ILA updates and clarifies each entity’s responsibility in the operation and maintenance of the channel.
This new interlocal agreement replaces one that has lapsed.
