Approve: (1) the Award and Contract for BID 20-962 CR 219A from US 301 to SR 26 Resurfacing -Project #918-7902 to V.E. Whitehurst & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible and responsive bidder meeting specifications. The award is for the Base Bid ($2,614,108.26) plus Alternate 1 ($978,041.31) for a total bid amount of $3,592,149.57, plus a 5% contingency amount of $179,607.48, for a total fiscal impact of $3,771,757.05; and (2) related Budget Amendment.

Background:
The scope for the CR 219A Mill and Resurfacing Project is to mill and resurface the existing roadway, install mitered end sections on all side drains, provide paved turnouts along the corridor, and update guardrail.
