Background:

Alachua County's Document repository (KnowledgeLake) is currently stored in our on-site SharePoint libraries. ITS will need to migrate the current on-site document repository to the Azure Cloud and update the current KnowledgeLake license agreement.

Once ITS's current SharePoint environment is migrated to the Microsoft Azure environment, beginning in November 2020, ITS will begin to decommission the on-site SharePoint environment. KnowledgeLake is currently part of this environment and will need to be migrated to the Azure cloud as well. The SaaS agreement is an annual managed service that will replace ITS current KnowledgeLake licenses with cloud licenses. The license agreement will also provide unlimited licenses for use. KnowledgeLake currently stores over 1.2 million Alachua County documents using a total of 1.25 terabytes of data.
