Background:

The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board (BPAB) is a joint board between the City of Gainesville and Alachua County and also serves as a standing advisory committee to the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization. The BPAB reviews and provides recommendations to the Board on issues affecting bicyclists and pedestrians both within the urbanized area, and throughout the rest of the County.

The Board of County Commissioners is responsible for four members on the Board. The current item requests the Commission appoint three members, one to a term ending August 31, 2022, and two to terms ending August 31, 2023.

Applicant Gina van Blokland is the only applicant currently serving on the Board.
