Background:

Due to COVID-19, AmeriCorps Seniors, continues to recognize the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 on our grantees and volunteers, and the communities they serve. Specifically, COVID-19 continues to have a direct impact on the ability of many grantees to continue program operations in communities across the country. To help support those efforts, AmeriCorps Seniors is allowing unspent FY21 (Year 2) funds to be carried forward into FY22 (Year 3) in some circumstances.

Foster Grandparents will Carryforward $85,500 from Year 2 grant Cycle to purchase laptops and tablets to increase volunteers’ familiarity with technology, virtual tutoring/mentoring and assist staff with easier accessibility to forms for program housekeeping and off-site monitoring.
