Background:
During the Board of County Commissioner’s February 23rd meeting, the Board approved a motion to direct staff to develop draft policies to implement the Recreation Future Land Use designation shown on the Comprehensive Plan’s Future Plan Use map. Currently, the Recreation Future Land Use is assigned to certain properties that are used for either active or passive recreation. However, the Future Land Use element does not include any policies to guide implementation of the Recreation designation. Staff has drafted policies to implement the Recreation FLU designation for the Board to consider and discuss.
