Recommended Action
Approve the Florida Department of Agriculture Grant Contract for the New Extension Office Teaching Garden, authorizing the Chair and Clerk to Sign. Approve the Corresponding Budget Amendment to recognize unanticipated revenues. Approve the attached resolution for receipt of unanticipated revenues and authorize the Chair to sign. Provide authorization for an interfund loan from the General Fund, as this is a reimbursable grant.

$206,655 grant award from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services into the Fund 130. This will be in a separate division for tracking purposes. An interfund loan is needed from the General Fund as this is a reimbursable grant.

Background:
UF/IFAS Extension - Alachua County applied for a Florida Department of Agriculture Grant for the new Extension Office demonstration gardens. These gardens will be planted with Florida Friendly landscape and used as an educational setting to teach homeowners about water conservation, and other educational programming. Our Master Gardeners will assist with the maintenance of the gardens.
