Background:
There are several Interior, Exterior and Roll-up doors, as well as commercial strength doors within the County that require maintenance and service. Based upon prior year blanket purchaser orders with a door vendor, the procurement method went from a phone quote to a formal annual bid.
BID 21-89 Annual Door Maintenance and Repairs posted on December 2, 2020. The deadline for receipt of BID 21-89 Annual Door Maintenance and Repairs was January 6, 2021; four (4) vendors responded. Florida Door & Operator LLC d/b/a Gainesville Door Company was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting specifications.
It was decided to expand the scope to include additional door types and was bid for FY 22 under Bid 22-89. Only one bidder responded. Florida Door & Operator LLC d/b/a Gainesville Door Company was again the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting specifications.
