Background:

With the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Annual Budget, funds were allocated to multiple projects at the Alachua County Jail.  These projects and original amounts were:

•                     FY20-Jail Plumbing Project = $135,000

•                     FY20-Jail Glass Project = $135,000

•                     FY20-Jail Flooring Project = $90,000

The Public Works Department is seeking approval of Budget Amendment 2021-4072 which combines the remaining amount in FY20-Jail Flooring Project ($7,721) with the FY21-Jail Flooring Project.  It also combines the remaining amount in FY20-Jail Glass Project ($107,689) with FY21-Jail Glass Project.  This allows for the old projects to be closed and combine the funds with remaining needed projects.

Additionally, the Public Works Department is seeking approval of Budget Amendment 2021-4116 which allocates $33,294 in unallocated funds from closed projects to project FY21-Jail Plumbing.  This allows for the replacement of additional roof top air conditioning units (RTUs) and their plumbing pipes.
