Background:
At the September 14, 2021 meeting, the Board requested Staff provide a brief history and review of the DRC process, and information on what other communities are doing. The Board also requested information on the best management practices for the development review process.
The purpose of the presentation will be to provide history on the composition of the Development Review Committee (DRC), the current duties of the DRC, and the County Development Review Process. In addition, Staff will outline the typical steps, and Boards used in peer communities as well as provide best practices for development review from the American Planning Association (APA).
