Background:

The Medical Support Unit has the capability of care and transport of up to 20 patients.  The Department has recently been awarded a grant from the North Central Florida Health Care Coalition for improvements to the unit.  These items include a Garmin GPS for out of town deployments, increase oxygen saturation monitoring from 10 to 20 patients, equipment to provide more privacy for patients and a fill line to make it safer when refilling oxygen.  The total reimbursement grant award from the Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC) is $3,563.00.

Because the grant award was less than $50,000, the Manager accepted and approved the grant.  The resolution and budget amendment to recognize the unanticipated additional revenue and appropriate the funds for expenditures requires Board approval
