Background:

The Parks and Open Space Department recently completed a safety audit with Risk Management. Part of the funding to correct deficiencies was identified in the Carry-forward budget amendment which identified $1 Million in Revenue recovery funds for this purpose (as approved by the Board on Nov. 9).  In order to complete the projects within a timely fashion, the department requests approval to hire a “proposed” Capital Projects Coordinator (limited to 1-2 years) to oversee the completion of these projects in accordance with established county Procurement and Facilities processes.
