Background:

Project budgets carry on year to year until the budget in the project is fully spent, budget is removed or the project is closed.  The general ledger budget, the one that is presented to and approved by the BCC, is established with budget in specific account lines.  Sometimes the account lines with the budget do not match line-for-line what is in the project budgets and budget amendments are required to realign them.

There are several Parks projects for which the project budget is established, but the General Ledger budget side doesn’t match on a line-for-line basis.  This budget amendment moves the general ledger budget to match the project budget; once the department is ready to start the next project, the project will have budget exactly where it is needed to begin the procurement process.

The budget in the projects is correct; there is no need to move budget into the projects, just among the general ledger lines in order to match the project budgets.
