Background:
The purpose of these projects is to quantify sources of nutrient pollution in Lakes Santa Fe and Lochloosa and to develop water quality projects to reduce nutrient inputs to the lakes. $112,000 will be used for Lake Lochloosa for stream flow measurement and water quality sampling, stormwater runoff sampling, soil sampling and conceptual projects and recommendations. $80,000 will be used on Lake Santa Fe for stormwater sampling, conceptual projects and recommendations. Both lake projects will be performed under EPD’s Environmental Services Contracts via Task Assignment. The remaining funds transferred will not be encumbered initially but may be used for additional work as needed.
