Background:
Alachua County Code Administration, in cooperation with county staff, has identified a location for office space and has negotiated a proposed lease in the Farm Bureau Building located at 5700 SW 34th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608. The Lease is for 2,175 square feet of office space, with a term of 3 years. The lease term begins April 1, 2022 and ends March 31, 2025. The lease rent is $15.00 per square foot for the first year with a 3% increase in rent for each of the second and third years.
The office of Code Administration was established on October 1, 2021. The budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year includes $31,500.00 for the lease of office space. The rental amount for the balance of the 2021-22 fiscal year is $16,312.50.
