Background:

The site currently has a drive thru bank. This application is a request to rezone a 1 acre parcel in the Jonesville Activity Center from BR (Business, retail sales and services) and BW (Wholesale and warehousing) to BH (Highway oriented business). If approved, the site would allow for commercial uses consistent with this zoning and unify the parcel under one set of standards rather than the current split zoning.

The Alachua County Planning Commission recommended 4-0 that the County Commission approve the rezoning.
