Background:
Mr. Figueroa applied and was selected, following regular recruitment and selection procedures, for the Solid Waste Operator position at the Leveda Brown Environmental Park, Solid Waste and Resource Recovery. However, Mr. Figueroa exited the County under the State of Florida Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP) in 2015. As per Policy 3-2. Recruitment and Selection, employees who have exited under DROP shall not be eligible for re-hire for twelve (12) months following their termination under DROP. Once the twelve (12) month period after terminating has elapsed, the DROP employee may be re-hired pending Board approval.
