Background:
Troubleshooting costs for the HVAC system at Veteran’s Memorial exceeded expectations. Pursuant to section 22.9-204(1) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, unauthorized purchases in excess of $3,500 must be placed on the Board’s agenda for consideration. As required by section 22.9-204(1)(a) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, the interim Department Director has prepared a memo that explains and justifies the after-the-fact purchase (see attached.)
