This is essentially a net zero. This position was fully funded from the General Fund and now it will partially be funded from Fund 008, which gets its funding from the General Fund. This position is being reclassed and the increased cost is approximately $8,200 for the full year in FY23, which has been included in the County Manager’s FY23 budget.

Background:
The Parks and Open Space became a separate division in FY19/20, when separated from Conservation Lands. During FY22, Parks and Open Space was designated a department, under the umbrella of Community & Administrative Services.
In Parks and Open Space, administrative support has been provided by Conservation Lands and the Assistant County Manager - Chief of Staff. When the Agenda Coordinator and Executive Staff Assistant positions became vacant, it was determined to consolidate both positions to transfer one to Parks and Open Space.
