Description:

Request adoption of the Resolution authorizing signatories on Alachua County bank accounts.

 

Recommended Action:

Recommended Action

Adopt the Resolution and authorize the Chairman and Vice-Chairman to execute all bank signature cards and Department of State Form DE-DE 3 Facsimile Signatures if not already on file with the Department of State.

Background:

Upon election of a new chairman and/or vice-chairman, the Board of County Commissioners adopts a resolution authorizing those persons and the Clerk to act as signatories on Alachua County bank accounts.  In accordance with Florida Statute 116.34 Facsimile Signatures it is necessary to complete Florida Department of State form DE-DE 3 Facsimile Signatures providing a facsimile signature has the same legal effect as a manual signature, if not already on file with the Florida Department of State.
