Background:

The Agreement with Global Tire Recycling Inc. is for the processing of waste tires collected at the Leveda Brown Environmental Park and Transfer Station. The tires are processed into crumb rubber products such as rubber landscape mulch and crumb rubber turf infill.  The Waste Tire Rule 62-711.550 F.A.C. permits no more than 1,500 tires on this site at any given time and also requires that the County have an agreement in place to ensure the removal of tires. This amendment extends the term of the Agreement through September 30, 2024 with the option to renew for one additional two-year period.
