Background:
$5,000 was budgeted for temporary services in the FY22 adopted budget, with the assumptions that vacancies would be filled. As vacancies continue and the workload at the shelter has increased, the reliance on temporary staff and staffing services has also increased. The Department has already reallocated $93,934 from personal services (lapsed salaries) towards temporary staffing, and has spent $96,816 through July 26, 2022. This final budget amendment is intended to be sufficient funding for the remainder of FY22.
