Background:

UF/IFAS Extension - Alachua County applied for a Florida Department of Agriculture Grant for the new Extension Office demonstration gardens.  These gardens will be planted with Florida Friendly landscape and used as an educational setting to teach homeowners about water conservation, and other educational programming.  Our Master Gardeners will assist with the maintenance of the gardens.  The project is taking longer to complete than originally anticipated, so the State has agreed to extend the grant through December 31, 2023.
