Background:
The East Side Garden Club, Inc. has historically provided enhancements to Earl P. Powers Park and has requested approval to install a shed, clubhouse, or other improvement on a small portion of the park (refer to page 8 in the attached agreement).
The Club shall pay for the improvements themselves, any utility costs related to the improvements and any insurance costs. The County is not liable for any damages to the improvements or maintenance of the improvements. Risk Management has approved this arrangement.
The proposed use by the Club of a portion of the Park promotes community interest and welfare; it will provide a benefit to both parties and will serve a public purpose.
