Background:
During the summer of 2022, the Children’s Trust and Friends of Cuscowilla offered to provide scholarship for qualifying campers. Unfortunately, paperwork was incomplete and/or missing. Staff made good faith efforts to contact families for required documents and were unable to collect $18,296.65. In order to allow camp registration in April to commence without a balance due to needy families, staff is requesting Board approval to remove the uncollectible accounts from the parks software, RedDesk. Moving forward, staff will ensure all necessary paperwork is in hand prior to the start of camp.
