Background:

In May of 2022 the Department of Economic Opportunity completed an annual review of the CareerSource Starke Career Center and found it to be a non-ADA compliant center. CareerSource NCFL had to vacate the Starke Career Center at the end of June 2022. CareerSource NCFL placed all equipment in storage and staff provided services through virtual methods and appointments at partner locations while we located a new office. After a thorough search for a new location, Bradford BoCC approached CareerSource NCFL with an offer for office space that is adjacent to the Bradford County Courthouse to use for our Career Center to provide workforce services to citizens of Bradford County. Alachua County staff, including the Assistant County Attorney, Risk Management, and CareerSource NCFL’s attorney have reviewed, edited, and provided feedback. After negations have concluded, the final version has been approved by the Dual County Workforce Development Council and the Bradford BoCC on January 19, 2022.
