After a competitive hiring process, Missy Daniels was selected for the position of Assistant County Manager - Public Works and Growth Management. Pursuant to the Alachua County Administrative Code Section 21.20 and 21.21 and BoCC Procedure 4.2 this position must be confirmed by the Board.

Background:
Ms. Daniels has been serving as the interim Assistant County Manager since May of 2022. A competitive interview process was conducted to hire an Assistant County Manager to oversee Public Works, Growth Management and Solid Waste, with seven candidates being interviewed. Ms. Daniels was offered the position and will begin officially on February 28, 2023.
