Background:

The County Historical Commission is an advisory board with a mission “To promote, preserve and protect Alachua County’s historic resources.”  There are a total of twelve members, including one alternate.  At the start of the year there were two resignations due to schedule conflicts with work and family commitments.  These appointments will be for shorter terms than the usual 3 years in order to maintain staggered times.
