Background:

Alachua County incurred costs from the federally declared disaster Hurricane Ian in September 2022.  Alachua County staff are working with FEMA and the State to submit the project for reimbursement of incurred costs in Category B for protective measures and emergency work performed.

The subgrant agreement will provide a mechanism for future reimbursement. County Legal has recommended authorizing the Fire Chief or designee to file supplemental paperwork associated with the reimbursements.
