Background:

Alachua County Public Works has received an application from North Florida Regional Medical Center, Inc.  as property owner of Tax Parcel Number 06974-040-000 to vacate a portion of SW 41st Boulevard in Alachua County, Florida.

North Florida Regional Medical Center, Inc. is constructing the Archer Road Free Standing Emergency Room on the property.

The Right-of-Way Vacation has been requested in order to construct a storm water management facility in the area to be vacated. As a condition of the Right-of-Way Vacation, the applicant has agreed to convey property to Alachua County by general warranty deed in order to relocate and realign that portion of SW 41st Boulevard. The applicant will be responsible for the construction of the new road and the vacation of the existing Right-of-Way will not be finalized until the new road is in place.

County staff is recommending approval of the proposed Authorization to Advertise the  conditional Right-of-Way Vacation as per Alachua County Code Sec.324.01 and Section 336.09, Fla. Stat.
