Accept the letter approved by the County Historical Commission. Staff will submit this letter to the State, and if advised that the state review board approves the nomination will then prepare a letter to the National Park Service for the BoCC to review at a future meeting

Background:
The correspondence from the State is attached, a letter dated December 22, 2022 and received to the Commission on January 5, 2023. This letter provides notice of the nomination and the upcoming state review on Feb. 2. Staff requested the attached nomination document for information on the historic structure. The National Register of Historic Places is administered by the National Park Service to recognize notable places for the goal of preservation. The Church of God By Faith building is nominated based on the criteria of architecture. The County Historical Commission reviewed the nomination information and at the regular meeting on January 9 approved a letter of support. The letter will be signed by the Vice Chair (Gwen Thompson) since the Chair was absent from the meeting. The signed copy will be provided to Florida DHR Survey and Registration Supervisor Ruben Acosta in advance of the February meeting.
