Approve the issuance of Purchase Order 2021-1669, to Bliss Products & Services, in the amount of $96,093.00, for the purchase and installation of the pavilion, concrete for the sidewalks and crusher for the walking path at the Chestnut Park for Parks & Open Space. Prices, terms and conditions are per Clay County Contract #18/19-2, Various Equipment and Amenities for Parks and Playgrounds.

Prior Board Motions:
February 28, 2017, Board adopted resolution and budget amendment creating a new fund to budget and appropriate the unanticipated revenue related to the November, 2016 voter approved Wild Spaces Public Places (WSPP) 1/2 cent sales tax referendum.
On January 22, 2019 the BOCC approved funding for the Chestnut Park WSPP project.
On September 8, 2020 the BOCC approved consent item # 27 to allocate $116,500 from the existing WSPP Project for Chestnut Park for Pavilions

Background:
Chestnut Park currently offers a restroom, two full size basketball courts, volleyball court and two picnic pavilions along with a multi-purpose field can host soccer, softball or football games.
This is the next phase of the park development and these new pavilions will allow sports teams to utilize the field during peak play times while not impacting the other users.
This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-302(12) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, Procurement of Supplies or Services under Contract with federal, state, or municipal governments or any other governmental agency or political subdivision provided the vendor extends the same terms and conditions of the Contract to the County. However, since the dollar amount of the purchase exceeds the purchasing authority of the Procurement Manager, this Purchase Order is being submitted for Board consideration and approval
