Background:
Change Order 2 includes the following renovations to the Arena & Stables.
All labor, materials, equipment, and management to install an Audio/PA System in the covered Arena, outdoor Riding Ring, and Five Horse Stable Barns. Renovations to the Arena and Stables are included in the project scope as well as the demolition and construction of a sound booth.
Part of the Scope of the Project included Renovations to the Arena & Stables. There was an old PA system at the time Construction began. The PA system was not replaced since it was thought that the system was in good operating condition. The Scope also included the demolition and construction of a Sound Booth.
Renovation of an existing structure will always have unforeseen and installed systems might have to be replaced/renovated/or repaired during construction. These systems could be electric installations, AC, Data, and, in this case, a PA system.
For the Youth Fair, it became apparent that the system was NOT in good operating condition and the Youth Fair rented a system for the fair. Also, during construction of the Sound/Media Booth and the renovations of the Arena, some components of the PA system were found to be in conflict and, were affected.
Provide labor, materials, equipment, and management to install domestic water to the Food Vendor area west of the Covered Arena. Provide and install an RV style electrical pedestal at the Food Vendor area.
Provide labor, materials, and equipment to install new metal siding on the East side of the Covered Arena to block glare coming off the metal roof of the Club House Building. The new metal siding on the East side of the Covered Arena was requested, and is needed, to block the sunlight glare coming off the metal roof as it disturbs the horses competing in the arena.
Change Order 1 reduced the GMP by $1,446,090.03 for Owner Direct Purchase Orders (DPO) for a sales tax savings to the County of $82,750.39.
