Description:
The first interfund loan is for Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant Fund #108-2970 is needed to continue operating the grant through the close out period. At this time reimbursements from the grant have only been received through May 2022. The interfund loan will be paid back when the final reimbursement is received and closeout is complete. The second interfund loan is for CDBG Fund 204 we currently have $211,098.32 in unreimbursed expenses, a reimbursement request is pending.

Background:
VOCA:
The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center applied for continued funding from VOCA. Funds support 6.75 FTEs including, 3 FTEs based at Community Support Services, 3 FTEs based at the Gainesville Police Department, and .75 FTE based in the Division’s Union County office (the remaining 25% of the FTE is funded by the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence grant). Additionally, grant funding is used to pay for Union County office space, cellular telephone service, internet and telehealth expenses. Grant funds also pay for a portion of the VStracking online client database system, therapy services for crime victims in Alachua, Bradford and Union counties, and staff training expenses. The Office of the Attorney General administers the VOCA grant, which runs October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022
CDBG:
Alachua County was awarded $750,000.00 for the FFY 2016 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Grant, Grant # 18DB-OM-03-11-01-H03, to rehabilitate eligible homes throughout the unincorporated areas of Alachua County that are very low income, low income, or moderate-income households. The Total CDBG Cost will be $750,000.00, and the Total SHIP Local Leverage will be a minimum of $50,000.00. Therefore, the total CDBG Cost and SHIP Local Leverage will be a minimum of $800,000.00.
A Subgrant Agreement was previously entered between Alachua County and the State of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO). This second modification (amendment) to the Subgrant Agreement will extend the agreement term through April 2, 2022, due to delays caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
This modification extends the Subgrant agreement beginning April 3, 2018 and ends on April 2, 2023.
