Background:
The Alachua County Land Conservation Board (LCB) plays an important role in the process of evaluation and recommendation of lands nominated as potential acquisitions by the County under the Alachua County Forever program since program inception. It was created by the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) in 2001 subsequent to the passage of the Alachua County Forever referendum in 2000. Duties added to the LCB in recent years include advising the BoCC on stewardship of conservation lands.
The LCB submits an Accomplishments Report and Workplan to the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) each year. The current report is attached (Exhibit 1).
