Background:

The FCASV grant is used to support 3.25 FTE’s including the new FTE Victim Advocate Therapist, operating expenses to provide rape crisis center services in Alachua, Bradford and Union Counties, including afterhours in-person response services to sexual assault victims.  In 2003, the Florida legislature began designating funds to support Florida's certified rape crisis centers.  Alachua County Board of County Commissioners Victim Services & Rape Crisis Center (VSRCC) was one of the original rape crisis centers in the state to receive this funding. The grant allows for the provision of services to sexual assault survivors and their families.
