Background:
Alachua County and the City of Gainesville provide residential yard trash collection services to households within their designated service areas on a once per week collection schedule. Alachua County and the City of Gainesville intend to contract for the environmentally safe processing and beneficial reuse/composting of this vegetative waste. After evaluating the bids summited, the City of Gainesville and Alachua County selected Watson C&D to provide the processing and beneficial reuse services.
BID 24-57 Annual Processing and Beneficial Reuse/Composting of Vegetative Waste for Alachua County and the City of Gainesville was released on January 11, 2023. The deadline for receipt of 24-57 Annual Processing and Beneficial Reuse/Composting of Vegetative Waste for Alachua County and the City of Gainesville was February 15, 2023; two (2) vendors responded.
This is an Annual Contract which will be approved by the Board if required.
