Background:
Alachua County first received the Bureau of Justice Assistance grant for the Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (2017-2020). The first grant cycle focused on community resources identification and process analysis.
The second grant (2020-2023) built upon the far-reaching partnerships developed in grant 1 to be educated on the Central Receiving Systems currently operational throughout Florida.
The third grant cycle deliverables will continue to support advancing behavioral health - criminal justice collaborative partnerships developed through the Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program grants by continuing the grant funded Co-Responder team.
