Background:
Resolution 18-101 contained typos, inconsistent terms and required that the Board consider property acquisition after 5PM. This new Resolution uses consistent terms and removes the 5PM requirement.
The proposed resolution amended Section 5b.(8) removing the requirement to hold a public hearing after 5:00 PM. A public meeting prior to the consideration of any purchase agreement would still be required, but the change would provide the County Manager and Board with more flexibility in scheduling the meeting.
The proposed change to Section 6c. recognizes the organizational change that placed the Alachua County Forever program within the Environmental Protection Department.
Several non-substantive typographical or grammatical edits were also made.
