Background:
The BoCC has contracted with various Architectural and Engineering firms over the years for architectural and engineering (“A&E”) services. These firms are able to offer architectural design, engineering and contract administration services. These contracts generally fall under continuing services on an annual basis, with the County having the option of renewing the contract for subsequent terms. The size, scope, and complexity of specific projects under the A&E annual services will be determines based upon specific requirements of the [project as determined by the Facilities Director or Facilities Manager. Task assignments are issued for services related for the specific projects as needed by the Facilities Management Department. The amount of each task assignment will be controlled by the project’s types and budgets.
On April 7, 2021, the County advertised RFP #22-35 for Annual Architectural & Engineering Services for Capital Construction Less Than $4 Million. On May 5, 2021, the County received a total of eleven responses to the RFP. The following vendors were selected as the top four vendors: Walker Architects, Inc., The Lunz Group, Inc., Paul Stresing Associates, and Brame Heck Architects, Inc., and agreements were executed with Walker Architects, Inc., Brame Heck Architects, Inc. and The Lunz Group, Inc. These amendments extend the terms of the agreements and, solely for The Lunz Group agreement, provides for assignment to the entity operating now convert to The Lunz Group, LLC.
