The FY21 PEMT funding includes $304,309.00 for equipment replacement.  There is $100,000.00 remaining which was carried forward into the FY21 budget to replace three (3) sets of extrication equipment (001.54.5450.526.64.00 #FY21 6195410).  The cost is $93,685.00.

Background:

On October 26, 2021, the Board approved the reallocation of $304,309.00 of FY21 PEMT funds for the replacement of equipment.  There are three (3) sets of extrication equipment currently in use that have reached the end of their useful life and are due to be replaced.  The new equipment offers a number of environmental and safety benefits while also containing annual maintenance costs without sacrificing quality and reliability.

 

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-302 (28) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, Sole Source procurements in accordance with the Procurement Procedures Manual. However, since the dollar amount of the purchase exceeds the purchasing authority of the Procurement Manager, this Purchase Order is being submitted for Board consideration and approval.
