Background:
The JAG Countywide program is administered through FDLE in accordance with Chapter 11D-9, FAC. Each County is allocated funds by FDLE. FDLE requires that the units of local government within the County reach a consensus regarding the expenditure of JAG funds. This is done in Alachua County through the Byrne Grant Advisory Board, which makes a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners. The Byrne Grant Advisory Board meeting was held on January 13, 2020 and their recommendation is included in the "51%" letter. FDLE has recently opened the FY 2019 solicitation and posted the available funds. The applications are due by June 1, 2020. The Certificate of Participation is due by April 21, 2020.
