Background:
On October 11, 2022, the Board approved the allocation of $320,000.00 of FY2022/23 PEMT funds for the replacement of equipment. There are three (3) sets of extrication equipment currently in use that have reached the end of their useful life and are due to be replaced. The new equipment offers several environmental and safety benefits while also containing annual maintenance costs without sacrificing quality and reliability.

This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-302 (28) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, Sole Source procurements in accordance with the Procurement Procedures Manual.
