Description:

An agreement with warranty deed from the School Board of Alachua County to Alachua County for approximately 146.25 square feet of additional right-of-way located at the Northwest corner of NW 16th Avenue and NW 2nd Street needed to complete ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) improvements for pedestrian safety at this intersection.

Recommended Action

The Board adopt the proposed Resolution approving the Agreement to accept the conveyance of a warranty deed from the School Board of Alachua County for right-of-way on the NW corner of NW 16th Avenue at NW 2nd Avenue, and authorize the Chair to execute same and all documents approved by the County Attorney’s Office that are necessary to effectuate the conveyance.

Background:

Alachua County has a roadway/pedestrian improvement project on NW 16th Avenue and the warranty deed for additional right-of-way at the Northwest corner of NW 16th Avenue and NW 2nd Street is necessary for grading, constructing, repairing and maintaining transportation improvements including but not limited to curb cut ramp, sidewalk and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) improvements for pedestrian safety.
