Background:

The Ambulance Billing Department currently uses TriTech Respond Billing software.  The software is currently installed on the department server and is managed by Fire Rescue IT staff.  Licenses for the software are individually purchased for $4,190.00.

With the addition of the Medical Billing Manager position, the FY20 TriTech software agreement for the current, server-based program is $23,437.04.  The annual agreement costs for the cloud database system is $22,755.12 for unlimited users.  With the transition to the cloud database, the FY20 costs will decrease by $681.92.

The advantages of the cloud system are real-time software updates provided by the vendor, reduced costs for purchase and maintenance of County server(s) and streamlined vendor support of database issues.
