Background:
This is for the replacement of one (1) air cooled chiller with a new 40-ton Carrier air cooled chiller at the Records Retention Building. All project work quoted is turnkey and includes permitting, electrical service and crane service.
This purchase is exempt from the County's competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 22.3-302(2) of the Alachua County Procurement Code, which permits the County to purchase Supplies or Services purchased at a Price established by the Florida Department of Management Services, or at a Price equal to or less than the Price established by the state agency; however, since the dollar amount of the purchase exceeds the purchasing authority of the Procurement Manager, this Purchase Order is being submitted for Board consideration and approval.
