Background:
In March of 1986 the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) adopted an ordinance related to Purchasing known as the “Alachua County Purchasing Code”. This code has been amended numerous times in the past and is in need of a major update to ensure that best practices are being used in the procurement of commodities and services.
