Consider County Commission appointments to boards and committees for 2020. The Chair is authorized to appoint commissioners to serve on Boards and Committees, subject to a county commission action ratifying the appointment.

Background:
Over 20 local boards and committees require or have requested participation by the Board of County Commissioners. As a matter of convenience and efficiency, staff is asking to have these appointments made by vote of the BoCC even though some appointments are within the sole power of the Chair.
Requirements for appointment to these boards include in some instances designation by the Chair, and in other instances appointment by the County Commission. Approving all appointments by vote of the County Commission - with the previous approval of the Chair - ensures that the appropriate requirements are met.
